Accessibility Assistant

by Jamf

Empower your users with access to learn about the accessibility features.

Overview

In a world where technology touches every part of our lives, accessibility isn't just a "nice-to-have" — it's essential. Whether it's accessing educational resources, thriving in the workplace, or connecting with others, people with disabilities often face invisible barriers. Unfortunately, many still feel uncomfortable disclosing their disabilities due to fear of stigma or judgment.

We believe there’s a better way to take an inclusive approach tapping into Apple’s vision:

Make Apple yours. Built-in features designed for you to make something wonderful.

That’s why Accessibility Assistant exists. It’s about increasing everyone's awareness seamlessly, without the need for disclosure. The Apple Shortcuts are designed and provided by Apple. At the same time, we leveraged Jamf Pro and Jamf’s Self Service, to put accessibility in the hands of all users in a way that’s private, easy, and empowering.

Who It Benefits the Most

This is designed to benefit a wide range of users, especially:

  • Hidden or Visible Disabilities: Those who need accessibility tools but don’t want to disclose their condition. This could include individuals with hearing or vision impairments, motor disabilities, or neurodiverse conditions. They can now set up their devices exactly how they need them, quietly and efficiently.

  • IT Departments and Administrators: By integrating Jamf Self Service and making the Apple Shortcuts app available, IT teams can provide a flexible and inclusive technology environment without needing to know who is using accessibility features. This reduces the administrative burden while promoting a more inclusive workplace or educational setting.

  • Everyone Else: The beauty of this solution is that it’s not just for people with disabilities. Apple Shortcuts and Jamf Self Service empower all users to customize their devices in ways that increase productivity, efficiency, and ease of use.
